Odors affect experience
Uncontrolled wastewater can damage the comfort of guests, residents, employees, and neighbors.
Wastewater for your building or premises, engineered differently
ALUVIA ECOFLOW is a complete wastewater solution for your building or premises—configured for peak activity, activated with ALUVIAMEDIA, and protected by mandatory professional maintenance.
The wastewater reality
Odors, overflow, visible pollution, insects, blocked operations, customer complaints, and environmental concern quickly become a business and community nuisance.
Uncontrolled wastewater can damage the comfort of guests, residents, employees, and neighbors.
Poorly treated discharge can affect soil, drains, waterways, and the wider receiving environment.
Emergency emptying, complaints, downtime, and repeated repairs create unpredictable cost and reputational risk.
ALUVIA provides a complete configured ECOFLOW set designed to control odors and wastewater nuisance through stable biological treatment, professional commissioning, and mandatory maintenance.
Request an odor-control solutionOdor and nuisance performance depends on correct project selection, installation, wastewater use, operation, and continued ALUVIA Care.
An environmental technology startup
ALUVIA was created by a team of fellow engineers united by a passion for environmental protection, practical innovation, and long-term sustainability.
After seeing recurring wastewater-treatment challenges in the field—odors, nuisance, unstable operation, difficult maintenance, and systems that did not match real use—the team created ALUVIA to deliver solutions designed around African operating realities.
Our ambition is simple: make professional wastewater treatment easier to select, install, operate, verify, and maintain—while building an international environmental brand rooted in Africa.
“We believe wastewater should be managed as a resource and a responsibility—not accepted as an odor, a nuisance, or an environmental burden.”
One process. Four capacities.
Every ECOFLOW uses the same ALUVIA treatment concept. Choose the capacity and installation format that fit the project.

These commercial views show how the complete ALUVIA set can be presented on the project. Internal chamber dimensions and proprietary equipment remain project-specific.
The ECOFLOW set is integrated beneath the soil and concrete finish. At ground level, only the planned inspection access remains visible for safe maintenance.
A protected, professional format for ECOFLOW 100 and ECOFLOW 250. The complete wastewater-treatment pathway is organized inside the ALUVIA-branded container for rapid delivery, connection and site integration.
Concept illustrations only. Final access, civil works, lifting, ventilation, safety clearances, connections, and finish are confirmed during project assessment.

Upgrade without replacing everything
For an existing installation, ALUVIA provides a free on-site assessment. The selected ECOFLOW upgrade set is prepared for delivery, installed into the existing setup, commissioned, and supported under mandatory ALUVIA Care.
The ALUVIA composition
A complete ALUVIA set manages peak activity, starts biological activation with ALUVIAMEDIA, and treats the flow through a gravity-led process wherever site conditions allow.
A correctly sized grease separator is mandatory upstream where the building or premises includes a commercial kitchen or food-service activity.
Peak service periods are managed inside the configured ALUVIA set.
ALUVIAMEDIA begins biological activation from Day 1.
The complete process treats and polishes the wastewater before the approved outlet.
The ECOFLOW smart controller monitors pH, EC (electrical conductivity), and selected operating status, with connected visibility and alerts. Monitoring supports operation; required laboratory testing remains the basis for verified compliance.
ALUVIAMEDIA · Biological activation
ALUVIAMEDIA is presented as a biologically activated treatment medium supporting the microorganisms and biofilm used by the ECOFLOW process. Because it is a biological medium rather than one pure compound, it does not have one unique chemical formula.
The simplified reactions below explain part of the biology that the treatment environment can support. Actual pathways depend on wastewater composition, oxygen, pH, temperature, loading, and the selected project configuration.
Organic matter + O₂ → CO₂ + H₂O + biomassMicroorganisms use biodegradable organic matter, helping reduce the organic pollution load.
NH₄⁺ + 1.5 O₂ → NO₂⁻ + 2H⁺ + H₂ONO₂⁻ + 0.5 O₂ → NO₃⁻Ammonium is biologically oxidized through nitrite to nitrate when the required conditions are present.
NO₃⁻ + organic carbon → N₂↑ + CO₂ + H₂OWhere an anoxic step is included and properly operated, nitrate can be converted to nitrogen gas.
Simplified explanatory equations—not a product-composition declaration and not a substitute for project-specific process design.
What we treat · What we deliver
The visual shows the treatment objective. Final outlet quality is confirmed by commissioning, representative sampling, and the required laboratory testing.

Treated water may be considered for non-potable washing, cleaning, or garden irrigation only where the verified outlet quality, project design, health safeguards, and competent authority permit that reuse. The permitted discharge or reuse route and its numerical limits remain project- and authority-specific.
Commercial clarity on compliance
Compliance is not a logo or a sensor reading. It is a treatment objective supported by correct design, commissioning, sampling, laboratory testing, operation, and records.
Rwanda Standard RS 110:2022 covers physical, chemical, and microbiological requirements for discharged domestic wastewater, together with sampling and test methods. Commercially, the final result must be demonstrated—not merely promised.
Official source →REMA guidance connects treatment requirements to the discharge destination, applicable standards, permits, and the sensitivity of the receiving environment. The same outlet is not suitable for every project or reuse objective.
Official guidance →ALUVIA selects the ECOFLOW set, commissions it under real operating conditions, provides mandatory maintenance, and organizes performance verification. The client receives one accountable partner from configuration through operation.
Configure your solution →ALUVIA uses “designed to meet” until project-specific results are verified through the required testing. Online monitoring supports operation but does not replace laboratory compliance tests.

Build my offerALUVIA offers standard ECOFLOW capacities of 25, 50, 100 and 250 PE. The correct selection depends on actual occupancy, wastewater characteristics, peak activity and site conditions. Use the configurator for an initial promotional offer; final selection is confirmed during project assessment.
For 500 PE and larger projects, contact ALUVIA for an adequate project-specific solution. Standard systems may be installed in parallel when this is appropriate for the assessed site.
Yes. Professional maintenance is mandatory for every ECOFLOW system to support biological continuity, preventive checks, records and reliable long-term operation. Maintenance is priced separately from the system purchase price.
Yes. A correctly sized and maintained grease separator is mandatory upstream wherever the building or premises includes a commercial kitchen or food-service wastewater. ALUVIA offers the Grease Trap 560 Pro as a serviceable pretreatment option.
Yes, subject to project assessment. ECOFLOW can be integrated into a concrete or PE configuration, installed at surface level or buried, and ECOFLOW 100 and 250 can be supplied as fully containerized, plug-and-play DEWAT solutions.
Biological activation begins from commissioning with ALUVIAMEDIA. Seeding, watering and operational verification form part of the controlled startup process; performance must then be confirmed through representative sampling and required laboratory testing.
Subject to the approved reuse route, local authority requirements and verified laboratory results, treated effluent may be suitable for non-potable applications such as garden irrigation, external washing and cleaning. It is not drinking water.
No treatment product alone guarantees compliance. Compliance depends on correct design, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, representative sampling, laboratory testing, discharge or reuse authorization and complete records.
